With over 200 agencies under its roof, the state of Ohio was encumbered by data silos and fragmented services and user experiences. Moreover, each agency required citizens to login to their portal using a unique ID and password. The InnovateOhio Platform created by Base22 includes a series of templates or frameworks applied to all the state agencies, similar to that of the umbrella site, ohio.gov. All the data from the various agencies could now be integrated with ohio.gov. "We created a singular identity platform for the citizens of Ohio that gave them access to any agency onboarded to the InnovateOhio Platform. Not only did we transform the user experience, we also transformed how individual agencies manage their content and what is presented to the users," adds Kristy.

As part of the project, Base22 also transformed the state's back-end processes and turned PDF forms into electronic forms that automatically store information onto the back-end systems. Implementing an all-cloud infrastructure, the company's partnership with the state of Ohio marks a big step forward for the public sector in digital transformation.
